📕My Review

What an enjoyable little novella this turned out to be. Quick and easy to read, it appeals to both Adult and Young Adult audiences alike.

Leaving the safety of their dome, young female protagonist Maz and male sidekick Hap encounter a plethora of dangerous situations and killer robots in their quest to steer the fate of humanity in an entirely new direction.

Anyone who knows me (or reads my reviews) will tell you I'm not a massive Science Fiction or Dystopian fan but occasionally like to dip my toes in. Being only 136 pages long, I couldn't resist giving this one a go.

The writing style is kind of quirky tongue-in-cheek. Insults are bandied about but no one seems to notice or comment - weirdly strange at first but after a while it's actually rather funny! The characters felt underdeveloped, but that's to be expected with a novella-sized book. The pacing, however, was excellent and it was this that held my interest.

Overall, Killer Domes and the Chosen One was an offbeat entertaining read. It captured my imagination and I enjoyed it.
