When notorious child killer Mister Whisper escapes from Carstairs Secure Psychiatric Hospital, he targets DCI Jack Logan, the police officer responsible for his incarceration. Logan must face his old adversary in a deadly game of cat and mouse whilst protecting those he holds dear from the sadistic killer. 

A Whisper of Sorrows is the sixth book in this brilliant series and my favourite to date. Mister Whisper was terrifying! My nerves were totally shot by the time I reached the end. The fast and furious pacing kept the momentum pushing forwards and made the book unputdownable. As always, the characters were fantastic and their banter lightened the mood with touches of humour. An amazing read.
