By Clare Mackintosh
Jenna Gray has been involved in a hit-and-run accident which tragically left a young child dead. Desperately needing a fresh start in a new location, she rents a cottage on the remote Welsh coastline. But the past has a way of catching up and Jenna remains haunted by hers. Unable to escape the memories and guilt, her life plunges into turmoil once again.
I feel as if I've been on an emotional rollercoaster with this book. It's an excellent read with plenty of twists and turns but OMG, I'm a wreck! My heartstrings have been pulled to the point of snapping and I'm sad, yet joyous, simultaneously (if that's even possible!). The insight into Jenna's past and present is cleverly executed — you're never quite sure whether to like her or despise her. It sets you on edge; wondering if she's ultimately a good person or selfish and misguided. It's a cracking psychological thriller and I highly recommend it.
