I'm becoming quite a fan of C.L. Taylor's psychological thrillers. I've read a few of her books and she never disappoints. Her storytelling is well-structured, exciting and always has plenty of twists and turns.
Escape tells the story of a mother, Jo Blackmore, and her young daughter, Elise, who, after a series of unsettling events, feel unsafe to remain in their home. They flee to Ireland in the hope of finding safety but things don't go according to plan.
This book was a really good read. I was never quite sure exactly what was going on or why. It was fast-paced, gripping and extremely immersive. The conclusion was a very tense yet satisfying end to the book.
