A 2026 Top Rated Read

Codex of the Gods is the third book in the Egyptian Stones trilogy and another fabulous read from author Murray Bailey. I've had an interest in Egyptology for as long as I can remember and all three books have captured my imagination and kept me enthralled. I've read many quest novels over the years and without a doubt this trilogy is up there with the best.

English archaeologist Alex MacLure is a fascinating character — a combination of part action hero and part academic. FBI Special Agent Charlie (Charlotte) Rebb — a character I've come to know and love — is fearless and sassy. When MacLure is accused of theft and murder, Rebb is determined to prove his innocence. With a plot involving ancient cryptic messages, hieroglyphics, conspiracy theories and a race against time, it's fast-paced and brimming with excitement and thrills. A superb read and one I thoroughly recommend.

Synopsis

A murdered billionaire. A vanished relic. A conspiracy older than the pyramids.

When Alex MacLure takes the job of curator of a private collection, little does he know that the billionaire owner has a mysterious stone. Or that things will rapidly spiral out of control. Competing parties want the stones and will do anything to obtain them. Special Agent Charlie Rebb is called upon to prove MacLure's innocence as he is drawn into a web of murder, deceit and conspiracy.

Does MacLure hold the key to exposing the stones' power? If he does, what will it mean for humanity?
