When a body is discovered at the Angel of the North, DI Tom Stonem investigates. In the dead man's pocket is a child's Christmas list with the first item, 1. No Angel, crossed off. Then, a short time later, another body is found; a woman wearing a red party dress. Tom recalls the second item on the first victim's list: 2. Red partee dress. He's convinced the two murders are connected and realises more deaths are planned. Tom must stay one step ahead if he's to prevent the killer completing his gruesome list.
What a great read this was! Set during the Christmas period, the plot was gripping and intense. DI Tom Stonem was drawn into a cat and mouse situation with a serial killer. With a fast-moving plot and believable characters, I was fully invested. The twist at the end was brilliant; purely because I didn't see it coming. My jaw literally hit the floor! A fantastic novel which I hope will develop into a series. I loved it.
