By Angela Marsons
Detective Inspector Kim Stone and her team are on the hunt for the sadistic kidnappers of two young girls. A game of cat and mouse ensues as time runs out to bring the girls safely home. Kim needs all her wits about her if she's to stand any chance of seeing justice served.
I'm gradually working my way through this excellent series and Lost Girls, book three, was just as good as books one and two. DI Stone is dedicated to her job and thinks nothing of putting herself in danger to achieve her goal. With a brutal plot that pulls no punches, you're thrust straight into the action. It's thrilling, fast-paced and twisty. A superb read.

Synopsis
The parents who offer the highest amount will see their daughter again. The losing parents will not. Make no mistake. One child will die.
When nine-year-old best friends Charlie and Amy disappear, two families are plunged into a living nightmare. A text message confirms the unthinkable: that the girls are the victims of a terrifying kidnapping.
And when a second text message pits the two families against each other for the life of their children, the clock starts ticking for Detective Kim Stone and the squad.
Seemingly outwitted at every turn, Kim realises that these ruthless killers might be the deadliest she has ever faced. And that their chances of bringing the girls home alive are getting smaller by the hour...
Untangling a dark web of secrets from the families' past might hold the key to solving this case. But can Kim stay alive long enough to do so? Or will one of the girls pay the ultimate price?
